Denman and Hornby Islands offer a wealth of natural wilderness areas for you to explore. Experience the bark of sea lions happily gorging on spawning herring in the early spring. Watch bald eagles and herons fishing, perched gracefully at the waters edge. Orca whales have been sighted in Lambert Channel travelling between Denman and Hornby Islands. For the past few summers we have regularly seen a resident Elephant Seal digging in the pebbles and resting on a small island off Hornby. In the summer, paddle past seal pups, patiently waiting on offshore rocks, for their parents to return from fishing. Discover moon-snails and clams jostling for position with purple sea stars in the rock pools when you stop for lunch. Camp in an isolated spot, maybe even your own island, and watch the sun set over Mt.Washington. In the fall you can catch the maple leaves turning colour as you paddle along the crystal clear waters on the edge of our paradise. All tours start with a dry land safety and instructional lesson, along with additional instruction once we get on the water. Each tour will include a complimentary snack and beverage (please advise of any allergies or dietary constraints). A gourmet lunch or dinner is available for an additional charge.
